Frequently Asked Questions

Bilona is the traditional Indian method of making ghee. Milk is first set into curd, then hand-churned to extract butter (makhan), which is then slow-cooked on low flame until it becomes pure golden ghee. This preserves the aroma and nutrients.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Our ghee comes in glass jars to maintain purity. Always use a clean, dry spoon. Properly stored, it stays good for 6-9 months.
The grainy texture is a sign of authentic bilona ghee. It comes from the slow-cooking process and indicates high-quality ghee. Industrial ghee is typically smooth and lacks this texture.
Ghee has a high smoke point (250°C), making it ideal for Indian cooking. It is rich in fat-soluble vitamins and has been used in Ayurveda for centuries. When consumed in moderation, it is a wholesome addition to your diet.
Most nutritionists recommend 1-2 teaspoons per day for adults. Use it for tadka, on rotis, or in your morning milk. A little goes a long way with our rich bilona ghee.
